Tires need to be inflated to the proper air pressure level. · Check all fluids, including engine oil, brake, transmission, and power steering. This is also a good time to check windshield washer fluid and antifreeze. · Check the hoses and belts. These are crucial for proper functioning of the electrical system, air conditioning, power steering, and the cooling system in the engine. · Check lighting, interior and exterior, to make sure your vehicle and see and be seen. · Check wiper blades and make sure there’s windshield wiper fluid in the reservoir. Wiper blades should be replaced every 6 months. A couple more tips to safe holiday travels include traveling with a full tank of gas, and making sure you have directions to your destination!
